Main use

1. Isopropanol is used as a dampening solution in the printing industry, a diluent for plastic printing inks, and glues. It is more economical than ethanol and alcohol, and the printing quality is much better.
2. Isopropanol is used as a cleaning and degreasing agent. MOS grade is mainly used for discrete devices and medium and large-scale integrated circuits, and BV-Ⅲ grade is mainly used for ultra-large-scale integrated circuits.
3. Used in the electronics industry, it can be used as a cleaning and stain removing agent.
4. Used as a diluent for adhesives, an extractant for cottonseed oil, a solvent for nitrocellulose, rubber, paint, shellac, alkaloids, grease, etc.
5. It is also used in antifreeze, dehydrating agent, preservative, antifogging agent, medicine, pesticide, spice, printing industry, cosmetics and organic synthesis, etc.
6. It is a relatively cheap solvent in industry. It has a wide range of uses and can be freely mixed with water. Its solubility for lipophilic substances is stronger than that of ethanol.
