Air-purifying charcoal
Product Description:
This granular activated carbon, designed specifically for air purification, is produced primarily from high-iodine-value coconut shell charcoal (coal-based alternatives are also available). It undergoes activation via high-temperature (800–1000°C) steam, followed by graded screening. The granules are sized between 2 and 4 mm, with a pore structure dominated by meso- and micropores (2–50 nm). It features a BET specific surface area of 800–1200 m²/g, a methylene blue adsorption value of ≥120 mg/g, and an iodine adsorption value of ≥900 mg/g, offering excellent adsorption capacity and kinetic performance.

Application:
Air-purifying carbon is a type of impregnated activated carbon refined through chemical treatment. It is capable of adsorbing odors, toxins, and various harmful gases present in the air. It exhibits exceptional adsorption, purification, and catalytic capabilities—particularly against carbon monoxide (CO), ammonia (NH₃), ozone, and chlorine—and is widely used in air purifiers, filtration systems, air conditioners, and refrigerators. Its primary applications include gas-phase adsorption (such as the recovery of alcohols, esters, hydrocarbons, and aromatic organic solvents), as well as air filtration, purification, and the removal of hazardous gases.
Production Process
The heap leaching method for gold extraction does not involve wet grinding or wet washing; only the carbon-in-pulp (CIP) process requires these steps.
