Beneficiation Grade Xanthate Concentration Ratio

(Brief description) With the development of the current mineral separation industry and the improvement of the requirements for the separation of minerals, there are more and more kinds of mineral flotation agents, and the requirements for the separation effect of minerals are also higher and higher. Among them, xanthate is generally used as a selective flotation collector in the concentrator, and xanthate is a sulfhydryl type mineral flotation agent with the action of sulfonate and corresponding ions.

In fact, the excessive use of xanthate not only causes waste, but also directly affects the concentrate grade and recovery. Therefore, we usually determine its dosage through mineral processing tests. The data provided is generally how many grams per ton, that is, how many grams per ton of raw ore is used.

In general, solid butyl xanthate should be prepared to a concentration of 5% or 10% before use. However, the calculation of the factory is relatively rough. If configure a concentration of 10%, generally put 100 kilograms of xanthate into one cubic meter of water, mix well.

However, note that the butyl xanthate liquid should be used in time after the preparation is completed.and the storage time should not exceed 24 hours. Generally, new ones are prepared for each shift. Moreover, xanthate is flammable, so it should be careful not to be heated and pay attention to fire prevention.

Do not use hot water to prepare xanthate, because xanthate is easy to hydrolyze and becomes ineffective, and it will hydrolyze faster in case of heat.

When the butyl xanthate liquid is added, the actual amount of liquid added is calculated according to the unit consumption amount and the concentration of the liquid provided by the test.

To calculate the unit consumption for a period of time, the unit consumption is calculated according to the consumption of solids and the actual amount of ore processed.
