Raw material pure benzene, the supply and demand of domestic pure benzene both increased, but due to the decline in crude oil and the subsequent increase in shipments, the market’s attitude towards the market outlook has changed, the differences between buyers and sellers have widened in negotiations, and transactions have slowed down. In the cost composition of the traditional cyclohexanone process route, pure benzene accounts for 53%. The market trend of pure benzene directly affects the price of cyclohexanone, and the cost of cyclohexanone is positive in the short term.
According to statistics, the domestic production capacity of cyclohexanone is about 6.55 million tons, and the current start-up load is about 60%, which is at a relatively low position. The main production enterprises, Shijiazhuang Coking, Shandong Hongda, Jining, Shandong Haili, Jiangsu Haili have limited product supply. The short-term supply of cyclohexanone is affected by favorable factors.
On the demand side, cyclohexanone plants are mainly equipped with downstream caprolactam production, and caprolactam is one of the most important downstreams of cyclohexanone. The spot supply of caprolactam in the north has basically recovered and the price of downstream PA6 conventional spinning has fallen. The confidence in the caprolactam market has weakened. The purchase of downstream factories has slowed down during the decline. The focus of negotiations has gradually declined, and the price of caprolactam has continued to decline. The demand side of cyclohexanone is temporarily negative.
