Hydrogen peroxide
Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is a colorless, odorless liquid with a bitter taste. It has a molecular weight of 34.01, a density of 1.44 g/cm³, a boiling point of 151.4 ℃, and a melting point of -0.46 ℃. It is soluble in water, ether, and alcohol; its aqueous solution is weakly acidic. It readily decomposes into water and oxygen, and is a strong oxidizing agent with both oxidizing and corrosive properties.
